We also offer practical, skill-based training in martial arts for law enforcement, equipping individuals with confidence, discipline, resilience, and the tools to serve and lead both on and off the mat. Youth Sponsorship Program
At Grappling for Life, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow in confidence, discipline, and character through martial arts. Our Youth Sponsorship Program provides access to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in such enriching activities.
Our program teaches more than just self-defense; on the mat, students develop teamwork, respect, resilience, and leadership—skills that extend into their homes, schools, and communities.
Thanks to the support of generous sponsors, we can offer training, mentorship, and resources that empower youth in Lake County, Florida, to build a solid foundation for life.

Empowering Law Enforcement with Grappling For Life, Inc
At Mount Dora BJJ, we believe in supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. Our Back the Badge Program is our way of giving back to the men and women of law enforcement and corrections who serve with courage and sacrifice every day. Through this program, we provide complimentary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, a vital form of martial arts, for all law enforcement and corrections officers until they earn their Blue Belt. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers practical, real-world defensive skills that help officers manage situations with greater control, confidence, and safety—while also improving fitness, mental resilience, and stress management. More importantly, it builds a strong community where those who protect us can train, grow, and support one another both on and off the mat. We proudly stand behind those who wear the badge, and we invite everyone to join us in our upcoming events to celebrate and honor their service.
